Yes, it is, although there was a huge lull that just ended, apparently.

I'm going to try and hit a couple of price points here for you since you gave a wide range. If you'r looking to spend a bit more (or can possibly spend more) my previous recommendation with the Brainwavz B2 is something to take a look at.

For the low end of your budget:
Brainwavz M2

Lowish end:
Head-Direct RE0 (good all-rounders)
Hippo VB (bassy)
Klispch Image S4 (bassy, others are better)

Mid-end:
Brainwavz M3 (all-rounder)
Shure SE-215 (all-rounder)
Sony MDR EX510 (bassy, very new so I'm not entirely sure of them)

High-end:
Etymotic HF-5 (light on bass, amazing elsewhere)
Ultimate Ears Triple-Fi 10 (all-rounder, I think)
Sony MDR EX-600 (over budget, but worth considering)
Fischer Audio DBA-02 (my choice at your budget, same as Brainwavz B2)

I'd get the DBA-02/B2. If you look at my previous post, I talk a lot about them! Tell me if you need any more help!

Your budget: 55-80 bucks (US DOLLARS)

Which genres you'll be listening to: Rap, Hip-hop, and many types of rock

What kind you want: Doesn't matter.

Whether you want open or closed headphones: Either is fine.

What you are listening from: ipod and/or laptop(the laptop can change the EQ of the audio, increase the max-bass, increase the max-treble, increase the max-stereo, and max-dialog)

What's the title of this thread? Get Advice Here. You know why it doesn't say give? Because it seems that nobody else knows anything about headphones, and your post backs this up. Also, read the OP. It explains a lot.

If you were qualified to help anyone, you'd know you can get much better than either of those for the price. Just because you own something doesn't mean it is the best thing out there, or even good at all. In your case, it is the latter. You can get better quality from IEMs for less than trash iBuds. Almost anything is better than Bose, which is overmarketed, overpriced, and under-performing rubbish. Now please, begone. And everyone else that does stuff like this, refrain from posting.

What does "gd" mean? Most words have at least one vowel. Same with "r." Also, their, not there. And yes, it DOES matter.
