No. It makes perfect sense if the user who gifted them saw them doing good then they can do whatever they want its there money and maybe its a friend of that persons who is starting out on ttg

No he does not want gold he is making a point guys , please learn to read posts instead of judging people and saying they want gold just because they make a post about how people are just gifting gold just so they can get a badge, and he is right there are people posting saying "Not long now before I get my gold badge" I have gifted 50 people and I did NOT do it to get the badge (obviously) but since the badge was obtainable by gifting 25 people, people are not gifting because somebody deserves it they are gifting for there own personal gain ie the Gold Gifter badge and that is what the OP was pointing out.

Why not 100 video submissions (which I am unable to submit videos for some reason)? The video king, tutorial king, and downloads king seem to be more helpful.

Most people who gift the gold give it too someone they feel that did something good. You don't just gift gold to a random.
