but without all the other branches they would be nothing
I can name many divisions that do MORE than the Marines do.
to name a few:
Army Green Berets
Army Rangers
Navy SEALS
Air Force Pararescue
Navy EOD
Army Delta Force
if you have netflix watch "surviving the cut"
i've watched about 3 or 4 of the episodes.

Yes, i agree that those sub divisions are better and more challenging, but the marines is the "best" general branch. The ones that you listed are nuts

Tall wrote Why is it the Marines earn more respect than any other branch? It's Because the Marines is First to Fight but i Believe every Branch of the military deserves respect for what they do.
Why is the Air Force considered weak?
I plan on joining the Army Nation Guard, and have had no support to do it. Most of my friends, who are ignorant, boast that the Marines are "where it's at." Every branch goes through similar basic training and has similar requirements. Why is it one branch earns more respect than another branch. Each branch does what it does to help protect our country. It pisses me off when someone will disrespect, for example, the Navy, after they are mindset on the Marines, and only the Marines. Most of the Marine recruiters i've met have been complete douchebags, and have actually talked me out of joining.
What are your thoughts on the branches. Do you bash a branch or respect each of them?

That's what i've seen from most of the branches. They all respect each other. I'm mainly talking about the younger generation who bash on each branch but their favorite.
I think you hit it on the head with the generation thing. I'm 17 and I think my generation is really bad about things like this, but the slightly younger generation is so bad. I really hope that there are smarter ones in other parts of america. Because our country is screwed if this is our future. They completely lack good morals and respect for authority. sorry but this has been bothering me lately
But the marines are considered the cream of the crop. Personally I would like to go into the navy. But anybody in any military branch gets my highest bit of respect

I believe they should all earn the same respect as they all are fighting for our country. People just see the Navy Seals or Marines from CoD as the elite force, which they are, but in a way that puts down the other branches.

Army Nation Guard
Because you should join if you can't spell...
Anyways, I served in the Army. I went to Basic Training in Ft. Benning, if you didn't know that's primarily a Navy / Air force base. They never bashed us, we never bashed them. I think as long as you ACTUALLY SERVE overseas, you are not considered weak. You are on of the brave to put their lives on the line. I've gone through 2 tours, and don't regret one.
Also, don't join the national guard just to go through college. It proves you aren't up to the challenge.
Also, Army has 9 weeks Basic. Marines have 12. That's why.

Because I can't spell? It was obviously a typo I overlooked. I'm not joining the National Guard just for college. I considered the Marines for a long time, but the National Guard appealed to me the most.

I don't agree with the .. I don't know what to call it. Disrespect? to branches but look at the Marines history. They are the first to go into war, and normally are tasked with the toughest tasks. (E.G. Fallujah, Iwo Jima) Thanks for serving our country regardless.

Dont Mean To Be a Troll But The Marines Should Get The Most Respect
First Off There The FIRST People To Be Called Into Action. "First To Go Last To Know"
Then You Have To Meet Requirements To Go Into The Marines, Then When You Goto Boot Camp You Have To Do Even More Requirements Before You Even Start
There The Strictest On Tattoos And The Boot Camp Is The Longest...
So How Can They Not Get The Most Respect???
How Do i Know All Of This ? Because i Was Going To Enlist
All Of The Military Is Great In Different Ways But In COMBAT ways Marines Are The Best

It would be the longest, unless you are going into special forces in another branch, in which case its almost doubled.
