Hi mate,

firstly iOS4 isn't amazingly easy to jailbreak and it all depends on what iPod Touch you have. Basically if you have a 3rd Generation you're buggered. If it was me, i would wait for an update of sprit or blackra1n, it will be so much easier.

Another method you could use, if you really wanted to jailbreak now is downgrading to 3.x and jailbreaking that. Note that if you do this and you then update to iOS4 , you will lose the jailbreak.
