What should happen to gold gifting on TTG?

I doubt this will ever actually happen, but does anyone else think the gifting gold option should be removed or more limited on TTG? It seems to me like everyone uses it to get the "Gold Gifter" badge. It also brings the little kids who have 30 posts screaming about how they deserve gold and bla bla bla. We all know we've seen those before

I think the TTG staff should either think of a new way to help the community, or put a limit on gifting gold. For example, for a person to be gifted gold they must have X posts, X useful posts, X thanked topics, something along that line. I personally think my limiting idea is pretty good, but that's just me EDIT: Keep in mind these are only ideas. I'm not suggesting this MUST be done.

This is just an idea, please don't flame at me saying I'm such a cruel person for thinking people should earn what they get. Let me know what you guys think and maybe we can get the staff to notice and take it into consideration

It's never going to happen but there is a limit to gifting gold. It's 5 gifts per subscription. The stats idea on your account is also terrible because what if someone does something really nice for a gold member but they don't meet the requirement?

they have that so the website can make money every time you buy gold you help TTG overtime you gift gold you help TTG if you have the gold gifted you have given at least like $125 to the website...

i think it should stay the way it is as if you have a certain posts they could all be spam posts but good idea but i dont think it will work

They put gold on the site to also help with paying off the website every month i think it is

Oh, I didn't know that. Thanks for letting me know about the limit. And yes I see what you mean, it's just an idea (: There are probably many better ways to fix the problem.

This is a bad idea, and as Graphy said there is already a limit.

So what if little kids get gold, they have no more respect than normal non-gold members, just an extra forum and other stuff im not allowed to mention.

Why does everyone think because you have a coloured name that your special?

Yeah, that's part of the problem. Gold members are usually automatically thought be be better then non-gold members, so everyone wants to have it. And so posts are made with people begging for gold ):

I agree too, there is already a limit however the limit ought to be decreased, many people use '10 GIFTED GOLDS' - or something on the lines of that as something to get REPUTATION for or a BADGE and I think it's pretty annoying. Maybe this should be in the RANT though?
