This usually happens to newly jailbroken iPods, Just hold the Power Button and Home button for random amounts of time. Thats what I did to fix about 5 iDevices.

So basically you turned off a tethered ipod? Give it back to your friend and tell him to fix it, if he doesnt know how to, tell him he has to rejailbreak it, but dont install cydia, just boot tethered.

Thats how i do it, PM me if you need more help.

Its a reboot and worth trying instead of having his friend fix it for him.

make sure u use the same program ur friend used to re jailbreak... for example if he used blackra1n, then just hook up ur ipod to the computer, and then open up the program, then click re jailbreak. it will then boot up with all ur programs

Fixed the problem.. I kept pressing the home, and power button. It finally just said Plug into Itunes, and I restored it. +Rep is being rewarded to all who posted in this topic before this topic.
