So my buddy boosted Team Tac & im pretty sure he just did the strafe run on SnD boosting technique. but he turned his 'Recording Off'

Im just curious if thats the one way to not be busted = reset/suspension/ban?

Iv read theres a ton of ban waves happening but my buddy hasnt been affected. can anyone confirm or clarify? bc im going to do a lobby but would def hate to get reset

You can get caught no matter what you do in hopes to not get caught.

possibly, but in black op there was a leaderboard in hardcore, i think it was hardcore-demolition? or something like that but, it didnt have a leaderboard so there was no record for treyarch to view to notice you boosting unless you got reported (nobodys guna report you in a all-friend boosting lobby)
me nor anyone else i did this was ever reset/banned..

so there are little things around it. and so far my buddy hasnt been busted the way posted in OP (MW3). he may just not be caught yet, which i doubt bc he boosted a while ago and still hasnt been hit with any banwaves or might have done it properly so infinity ward cant notice. thats what im just double checking & hopefully someone can verify a legit way to not be noticed

surely the best way to boost would be to make it look asif youre not boosting? like for one team to deliberately miss all their shots or something?

na i think it goes by leaderboards, so the IW team would probly check each game-mode & look for peoples really obvious high K/D & notice boosting. thats why i think in BO it was safe to boost in the hardcore mode that didnt have leaderboard stats..

IW use the accumulative leaderboards and personal leaderboards (accuracy, time played) they also check how many kills and headshots you have got as well as assists if they suspect you.

You boost and you can get banned, theres no way around it. Some people get lucky and stay under the radar whilst others do not.

If your boosting in SND, I suggest you make sure you don't go better than 13,000 in the world for weekly, monthly and all time SND.
Once you reach somewhere like this and you still want to boost, try to get a Domonation boost going on Team Tactical, do Demolition and Kill Confirmed.

Also, if your going to boost, don't boost a Prestige straight, boost around 50 levels then get 20-25 legitimently.

It depends how much he leveled up , and his playing time .
If he prestiged over twice in two days he probably will be reset .
I prestiged twice and took a week off and was just fine .

I think IW looks at the leaderboards and if you prestige twice in under a day, they will most likely ban you. They probably also check the games you play. If you constantly play SnD for boosting, then they will likely ban you.
