Hey everyone,

have you downloaded a mod for oblivion, put it in your data files, but in game its not there?

thats cause you havent updated oblivion!

if your stingey like me and downloaded the game then you will need to follow this tut!

PEOPLE WITH THE OFFICIAL GAME DISC WILL NOT NEED THIS TUTORIAL

ok so first things first:

mount the oblivion.iso file using poweriso or something similar
run the game as usual
if it loads u, press continue and move around just to test everything is working
then close the game

DO NOT SAVE THE GAME

close oblivion
download this patch: Click here and download the patch at the top of the list


run the patch
it will then freeze for around 5 minutes, do not panic and DO NOT CLOSE THE APPLICATION!

a message box will then pop up after a while and say "thank you for your patience, oblivion has been updated" or something like that

then run oblivion launcher [where you can choose data files etc]

run oblivion

then look at the bottom left of your screen, underneath the 'continue' button

and it should say something like 1.2xx or something like that, if you have that, then you have successfully updated the game

now go back into the launcher, and in the data files option, unclick everything apart from oblivion.esm master file, close the launcher, then load it up again, go into data files, then click on the mods you want, then run the game
