No, not at all. They are a huge rip-off, like all other Macs.
The maximum processor is a 3.1GHz i5, which I think is the 2400.
To use it for gaming you would need to pick the maximum video card.
It comes with 4GB RAM. There are no upgrades and as far as I know you can't upgrade anything in the iMac because its built in to the monitor.
And of course it comes with OS X Lion. Any computer you want for gaming needs to have Windows. (Not Vista!)
All this for $2000. You could get these specs for half the price building your own PC. If you only want to play COD and Minecraft, it will be very cheap to make a computer for that much. With your budget, you could make a beast of a gaming rig.
EDIT: Look at these parts I picked out. Much better then an iMac, and it's still $300 cheaper! The GTX 580 backed by an i7 2600k will be able to handle any games out right now at the absolute maximum settings, and you'll be able to use it for any new games that come out for years. Also, please note that you will not need these specs to handle games right now. You could get a 2500k instead of 2600k, a GTX 570 instead of a GTX 580, ect. I hope this gives you an idea of how ridiculous buying a Mac is.

I am a mac fan as I have used them for work for years.
They are no good for gaming.
The price you pay for a mac you could create a massive gaming rig.
