The Elder Scrolls IV: Skyrim
Game Review

Game Information
Release Date: Nov, 11th 2011
Developed By: Bethesda Game Studios
Genre: RPG/Open ended
Platform: Cross Platform
Age Restrictions: 15+

The Story
The game starts as you being a prisoner, being transported on a carriage to your imminent doom. After a minute or two of talking you are brought to a small village. An imperial guard reads down a list, sending the prisoners to their execution... but then he asks you your name. After you choose your looks, you are sent to the chopping block! Suddenly you hear a rumbling, shout noise. Everyone looks up and there is a dragon!

The Gameplay
The Elder Scrolls IV: Skyrim has enormous amounts of high quality game-play, with an enormous map and over 300 hours worth of it, it is guaranteed you will not get bored easily.
The Main Quests contain an intricate story which will hook you, and hours of fun. Along with this, there are a huge amount of side-quests, obtained by talking to citizens, or joining one of four guilds, (Storm Cloaks, Imperials, The Dark Brotherhood, Companions) overall there are 244 quests!

There are various difficulties to play on, which are all adaptable to your own needs.

Overall, the game-play will immerse you, and trust me that you won't be out your room for a while!

Gameplay Rating - 10/10

Graphics
Despite a few graphical errors, such as on the Xbox, when you run the game via hard drive certain textures won't scale down, the graphics are excellent quality! Utilising a different system than Oblivion, the textures are improved.
The game also uses a dynamic weathering system, and instead of weather such as snow being a FIXED texture, it will randomly appear! A great feature.
Tree branches even have branches with weight, which affects how they blow in the wind! Following on from that point, wind also affects how water flows.
Character Animation is greatly improved from previous games.
Graphical Rating - 8.5/10

Controls
The Controls for Skyrim are relatively simple, and won't take long to get used to.

OVERALL RATING
10/10
Despite a few glitches, the entire game is amazing, therefore I feel it deserves a 10/10!

Publisher: Activision
Developer: Eutechnyx
Reviewed for: PS3
Also for the Xbox 360 and Wii
Rating: E For everyone

Synopsis:
NASCAR fans have been without a full game since 2008 when EA published its last effort and dropped the license (bonus points if you knew that EAs last NASCAR game was NASCAR Kart Racing). In something of a surprise announcement last year, Activision announced a Eutechnyx-developed NASCAR game for 2011 on the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii this year. A UK studio with a lengthy history of driving titles, Eutechnyx has taken on a significant task, creating a game not just for the racing game audience, but specifically for the very specific niche of NASCAR game players. But given the generally tepid responses to EAs titles, there would seem to an audience out there that hasnt played a great NASCAR racer, so the opportunity is there.

Gameplay:

Design your dream car NASCAR The Game 2011 has a fairly deep customization system, letting you combine layers of paint, decals, and logos to create your perfect car. The Car of Tomorrow (the current car design that all teams use) is not the most visually appealing vehicle, but it does provide plenty of body space to be the blank canvas for your creation. Twitter has already been filled with great original and homage creations, and Im proud to be racing the official GamerPops.com Dodge.

Gameplay Rating 7.5

Graphics:

First and foremost, this is a good looking game. Not the obsessive, ultra-detailed craziness of a Gran Turismo, but the cars and the multitude of paint jobs look great. Most of the tracks, even with many sharing similar design characteristics, have a uniqueness to them, augmented by a great sense of speed and motion, great pit stop animations, and a good sensation that you are really are racing.

Graphics Rating: 5.6

Single Player:

Eutechnyx wanted to make the game a very detailed, and realistic NASCAR experience. I truly believe that they did just that. Single player is definitely one of the modes that Eutechnyx needed to get right. Even though there are people who buy games just for online, there are people who start with the campaign, or single-player. It looks as though Eutechnyx got it right.

7.5 Very competive with Friends/Family.

Final Thoughts/Overall Review:

NASCAR The Game 2011 is definitely a level up over the features that were included in NASCAR 09. This game definitely gives the gamer the feel, and the realism of NASCAR. It is also completely authentic as well. Overall, even though its Eutechnyxs first game as NASCARs official licensee, its definitely a great game that people will enjoy. The game to me is worth the 60 bucks although, if you are playing this only for the online multiplayer, you may want to wait until patches have been released to fix issues with the online multiplayer before you purchase it. Once the patches fix everything wrong on both online and offline, this game will be a fantastic game to play, and be the best NASCAR console game, it was meant to be!

Final Rating for Nascar 2011, 7.9/8.0!

Fifa 12 was released on the 30th of Septemeber 2011.The fifa series releases a game annually which means that huge inovations from one years to the next is rather unlikely. With that being said, the game done very well to bring in as many new features as possibly, not nessesarily new game modes but in-match features that will help make them game more realistic than it already was.And its because of these new in-game features that help this years instalment of the fifa series one of the best and most realistic in recent memory
The games biggest inovation is that of tactical defending.EA have completely changed the mechanics of defending, but dont worry you'll be given a defending tutorial at the start of the game so you'll know what your doing. In previous games when you lost the ball, all you had to do was chase the player down and lung at him with a well aimed tackle. This year you will be forced to be apply pressure to the oppostion by chasing them down, jockying and cutting off paths in order to win the ball. This really does add a new dimension to the game, but is quite hard to master.
In fifa 12,tackling is an art that really does require perfection. This year you really cant afford to mash buttons in hope of regaining the ball via a sliding tackle. If you mis-time your tackles or lundge in a fraction to early the other team will easily take advantage,so you really should try your best to stay on your feet. The visuals for tackling have been greatly improved as istead of the players all just failing flatly onto the ground, they now fall in many ways depending on where exactly the impact was, however this can cause occasional glitches, but nothing to bad. This really adds to the games visuals.Again, its an art that will require time and effort before mastered. The presision dribbling is yet another thing that makes this one of the most realistic soccer games ever.At the drop of a dime you can change your direction completly, weaving between the opposition which really helps in close quater situations.
The game has the same game modes as in recent years. There exibition mode, were you can freely play a match with any teams you'd like.Carear mode offers you the change to manage a team for multiple seasons, in which you can buy and sell players, make important managment desisions and if your any good, win trophies.Theres also the return of Be-a-Pro mode in which you play as your created player for your club and maybe even country.Lastly theres the usual online feautres which are good for playing with or againsy your friends.Thers nothing new in this department but there dosent have to be.
The new gameplay features will change the way that you play fifa. Not everybody will like it but if you have an open mind and work to overcome these by mastering the controlls than you will be greatly rewarded by one of the best sports games ever. They call football the beautiful game, and with this installment of Fifa, its just gotten alot more beautiful. As far as sports games go,its rating is 10/10.

Synopsis: by Wikipedia:

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, also referred to as Halo: Anniversary, or Halo: CEA, is a first-person shooter video game set in the Halo universe and is an enhanced remake of Halo: Combat Evolved. Microsoft announced the game along with Halo 4 at their Electronic Entertainment Expo 2011 press conference. The game reached gold status on October 15, 2011, and was released a month later, on November 15, 2011, the 10th anniversary of the original title's launch.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is the first game in the Halo series to be developed by 343 Industries. The game features several updates to the original title, including a complete visual overhaul, support for cooperative and multiplayer gameplay on the Xbox Live online service, remakes of several multiplayer maps from previous Halo games, and extras that do not affect gameplay such as achievements, terminals, and other hidden easter eggs.[5] The original game engine was replaced by the Saber3d engine in campaign mode and the Halo: Reach engine in multiplayer. The game is the first in the series to include Kinect support.

Graphics

The graphics are looking very good, there are not really any noticeable mistakes or bugs.

The details are definately great especially on the guns they really improved from what they were at in Halo 3 in 2007.

You really see details in the trees and when you're looking at water.

Even when you switch to the old engine in campaign you see a major difference, they did a great job on enchancing the graphics.

The main thing you will notice is all of the details in the lights and the walls, you will notice all of the edges are cleared and look smooth.

Overall I think the graphics are amazing.

Rate: 8.5/10

Campaign

The campaign is definately a success in my opinion.

They completely remade everything inside of it and matched it as best as it could.

The remastered maps are almost exactly what they were before not including the remastered graphics.

There is also a new feature that allows you to switch between the new version and the old.

It is really entertaining to see the improvements they have made, and it's very fun to switch between the two just to see the differences.

The best part of it all is remembering the good times you had playing the original version when you were little.
The part I look back at the most is playing the maps that first introduced me to Halo, I love seeing and playing as the original Master Chief as well as Cortana and fighting the Elites again.

Rate: 10/10

Multiplayer

The multiplayer is great for Reach fans especially.
It is a great addition to an already great game.
The multiplayer maps are great considering they are remakes.
To me the maps are great to play on and to see the improvements from the original maps.
These maps are something I will always remember from Halo, not just because of the times I had playing them on Combat Evolved, but from other remakes on Halo 2, and Halo 3.
It's also nice playing with all of the new features that came with Reach on these maps.
And one of the best features in all Halos is the forge mode added.
I really enjoy putting my own features to these already re-made maps.

Rate: 8.5

Hitman: Blood Money Review

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Developer: IO Interactive
Publisher: Eidos Interactive
Release Date: May 30, 2006
Rating: M (17+)
Genre: Stealth/Action

Synopsis

The idea behind the Hitman series has always been very simple. The player is tasked with killing one or several people, and it is up to the player to decide how he/she wants to accomplish the mission. Stealth, as always, is stressed, because if you are detected, the harder it will be to complete the task at hand. Although the objective might sound simple, there can be several ways to carryout the mission, all in the players hands to decide. Will you go in guns blazing, leave no witnesses, and slay as many as possible to get to the target? Or will you disguise yourself and sneak in undetected, eliminate the target, an escape without anybody even knowing you were there? The choice is yours.

Story

There is no deep, entrancing story in Hitman: Blood Money. All you need to know is that your name is Agent 47, or Mr. 47. You have no name, you dont go by anything, except 47. You are a clone made from the ICA ( International Contract Agency ) and you were trained to be a killer, and nothing more.

Gameplay

Gameplay in Hitman: Blood Money is definitely stealth-orientated. You start outside an area, and are briefed on who your target is. Your told where the person might be, and what they will look like. Thats it. The rest is up to the player to accomplish. This is excellent for a hard core gamer like me. There's great challenge in Hitman, but it is not too difficult to the extent of controller-throwing rage. For a casual gamer though, it might be a little intimidating at first. On the harder difficulties, theres very little-to-no mercy/guidance. A casual gamer will get adjusted, it just might take longer than another gamer. If you were to take a stealthy approach to the situation at hand, Agent 47 has a wide array of skills up his sleeve to make sneaking pretty easy. 47 can take anyones clothes and disguise himself as that person. Need to get past a security checkpoint? Lure a guard away, choke him out, steal his clothes, and walk through the checkpoint pretending to be a that guard. A big part of Hitman's gameplay is deceiving your opponent. If you have to steal ten sets of clothes to get to your target, then so be it. Thats what has to be done. Now, if your the impatient type and just like to go guns blazing, it is possible.
You can take a pistol or a machine gun and clear out the whole level, leaving no one to escape, but where is the fun in that? But hey, its all based on personal preference.

Graphics

Graphics in Hitman: Blood Money are good for the time the game was released. There are texture pop-ins, awkward coloring in some places, and some ugly character models, but I am comparing this to the games of today. Back in 2006, this game would have been praised as beautiful. Do not mistake, the game looks very good, but can not compete with current games graphics.

Controls

Controls in Hitman are pretty good. Theres no clunky feel to them, but it is different from the standard CoD controls of hold LT to aim and RT to shoot. Most of the main buttons ( A B X Y ) are mapped to performing certain tasks. A little getting used to, but once your adjusted, you'll be a perfect assassin in no time.

Gameplay Video

The Final Verdict

I'm awarding Hitman: Blood Money an 8.5/10. Not only is it a great game with alot of fun to be had, the Hitman series really was one of the first game series to give players a real choice to about how they want to accomplish their goals.

Synopsis

Halo Wars is a real-time strategy (RTS) video game developed by Ensemble Studios and published by Microsoft Game Studios for the Xbox 360 video game console. It was released in Japan and Australia on February26, 2009, in PAL territories on February27, and in North America on March3. The game is set in the science fiction universe of the Halo series in the year 2531, 20years before the events of Halo: Combat Evolved. The player leads human soldiers aboard the warship Spirit of Fire in an effort to stop an ancient fleet of ships from falling into the hands of the genocidal alien Covenant.

Campaign Review

The campaign is a complete new experience from what most Halo fans may be used to.
The characters in campaign are: Captain Cutter, Sergeant Forge, and Professor Anders.
You fight off covenant in several different locations in the universe.
Your main enemies are The Arbiter, the Prophet and of coarse their minions.
A lot of the time during the campaign you have a objective to destroy, the thing about this is using your strategy and building your way up to things to destroy it.
The best part of the campaign is using different features for different missions.
One mission you will have Grizzlies and the next you will be dropping down ODST soldiers.
To me the campaign is very entertaining and definitely worth trying.

Rate: 8

Multiplayer

The multiplayer is definately addictive, once you play you want to keep playing.
It is a great game for everyone because you always have a chance at winning against everyone,

As long as you learn the basics you should go along fine.

Some great features of multiplayer are the different characters that you can play as, they all have their own special ability and their own unique unit.
When you use them all you definately find new and creative ways to play.

There are various amounts of ways to play and strategize your game.
You can take a few main choices such as a fast paste rush, a mid build-up rush, slowly build your way up, or complete defense.
It all depends on your play style in this game without it you will be at a loss.

The funnest feature of this game is definately finding/creating your own strategy, and then testing if out.

Rate: 9

I highly recommend this game to anyone.
Even though it is old I find myself playing it very often.

Overall Rate: 9/10

Game Information
Release Date: 11/11/2011
Developed By: Bethesda
Genre: RPG
Platform: X360/PS3/PC
Age Restrictions: 17+

Gameplay

The over all gameplay in Skyrim is very well designed. You get the feel of a first person shooter almost, but at the same time a RPG. If you have every played fallout, you know what I am talking about. This game is almost a mix of Fable, Fallout, and TES. The level cap in Skyrim is around 70-80. (I did some research and couldn't find an exact number.) This game has unlimited questing you could say. It would take so much time to complete every quest in the game, it is insane. I would give the gameplay

10/10

Graphics

The graphics of Skyrim are O.K. They are not the best graphics I have ever seen, but the gameplay and others make up for that. Sometimes you will get some graphical bugs, such as a dragon's animations getting frozen, but with the gameplay of this game, I can deal with that. Other cons with the graphics are that shopkeepers and non-important NPC's faces seem to look the same a lot of the time. Almost as if they are using the same texture for all of them. I would give the graphics

8/10

Controls

The controls of Skyrim are similar to other RPGs made by Bethesda, that is if you have every played them. If you haven't, and you are wondering about all of them specifically, I will leave a spoiler at the bottom of this section that has all of the controls. The controls of the game are very easy to get used to if you come from the CoD community, or even Battlefield. I usually play claw style (Xbox) because it is easiest for me to hit the jump button. Shooting magic and bow and arrows is almost the same as CoD. LT and RT to shoot magic, and RT for bow and arrow, (LT if you have the perk unlocked. Again, we will go over perks at the end.) I would give the controls

9/10

Story
The continuing story is set in 2012. After escaping the Templars' attack at the end of Assassin's Creed II, Desmond Miles, Lucy Stillman, Rebecca Crane and Shaun Hastings flee to Monteriggioni, establishing a new hideout in the ruins of the Villa Auditore. After restoring the electricity in the old tunnels under the villa, the player once again takes control of Ezio Auditore through the genetic memory of Desmond Miles using the Animus 2.0 (which is the game's memory interface). Their mission is to find the Apple of Eden, an important and mysterious artifact that could prevent the impending disaster that is coming in that same year, believed to be perpetrated by the Templars.
Ezio's story continues in 1499, where he exits the Vault, confused by what he saw inside. He escapes Rome with his uncle Mario Auditore and arrives at Monteriggioni. Once home, Ezio is comforted by the prospect that his personal vendetta is over and that his days as an Assassin are done; however, Niccol Machiavelli challenges Ezio's decision to leave Rodrigo Borgia, now Pope Alexander VI, alive. The following morning, Monteriggioni is besieged by Cesare Borgia, son of Rodrigo. Mario is killed at the hands of Cesare himself, and the Apple lost to Cesare and the Templars. Ezio escapes with his family and travels to Rome, the center of the Templar Order in Italy, once again seeking vengeance against the Borgias. There, he discovers that the Assassins are failing in the fight against corruption. Determined to redeem the Guild, Ezio convinces Machiavelli that he has what it takes to lead while assembling a Brotherhood powerful enough to destroy the Templars and his new arch-nemesis, Cesare Borgia.
During the next four years, Ezio executes tasks meant to cripple the Borgias' hold in the capital, sabotaging Cesare's resources and assassinating key people close to and/or working with him in the process, and slowly restoring Rome to its former glory. Ezio is then made head of the Order and promoted to the rank of Il Mentore.
Cesare, learning of Ezio's actions, confronts his suspicious father and desperately asks for more money and the Apple itself. Rodrigo refuses and attempts to poison his son, realizing that Cesare's lust for power can't be held at bay. Cesare, however, turns the tables on his father and kills him instead. Ezio witnesses this and, after learning of the Apple's location, retrieves it from within St. Peter's Basilica. Ezio uses it to overwhelm Cesare's forces and withdraw the backing of his supporters; he is finally arrested by Pope Julius II's Papal Army.
Ezio uses the Apple once again to check on Cesare, who breaks out of prison and has lain siege on a small city in Navarre, Spain. He encounters Cesare on the battlements of a crumbling castle and fights him. Cesare claims that he cannot be killed by the hand of man, thus inciting Ezio to "let fate decide" by dropping him off the battlements. Ezio then takes the Apple and hides it in another temple built underneath Santa Maria in Aracoeli.
Using the coordinates taken from Ezio's memories, Desmond, Lucy, Shaun and Rebecca travel to the temple, intending to use the Apple to locate the remaining temples to keep the other Pieces of Eden out of the Templars' hands. As Desmond makes his way into the temple, he is confronted with holographic apparitions of a being called Juno, who appears to be of the same race as Minerva; however, she is neither audible nor visible to Lucy, Shaun, or Rebecca. Most of her comments center around humanity's lack of knowledge. She states that humanity is "innocent and ignorant"; that people were not built to be wise, having been given only five of the six senses: sight, smell, taste, touch, and hearing, but lacking knowledge. Her careful cadence then drops as she suddenly becomes angry, yelling "We should have left you as you were!"
As Desmond approaches the Apple and touches it, time freezes around him, though he can still move and speak. Juno cryptically says Desmond is descended from her race and their enemy; she also says there is a woman who is supposed to accompany him through "the gate", but she is not with him. She takes control of Desmond's body and forces him to stab Lucy in the abdomen. Both fall to the ground unconscious, Desmond entering into a coma. As the credits roll, two men are heard discussing whether to put Desmond back in the Animus.

Gameplay
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood is a game that you can mainly go any where. There are so many campaign quests and jobs that you'll never get bored! One of the great things about this game is the feature to speak to other characters. In Assassin's Creed Brotherhood you can do anything with your character, it's like your own little Ezio!

Graphics
The graphics are great and is pushing the limtes to how big it is for an Xbox game. Most of the characters look as if they were real but they still could be a bit better. I enjoy playing this game verse Assassin's Creed 2

I feel like the graphics could have been improved upon, as they were the same from 2 years ago. However the Graphics for this game are still much better that Black Ops. The game feels real and has a realistic look. However the graphics were not as good as I expected.

Single Player:

While many Critics raged about how the Black Ops campaign/single player was the best ever and going to be for awhile, I disagree. I feel like the MW3 single player took it past the last boundaries and in my opinion it was the best COD single player I have ever played. The missions were all good in length and were appropriately challenging. The only part that was missing was playing as Soap. The campaign has Soap in it for most of the time, however I, as many others, felt like not playing as Soap was a major disappointment. Overall I give the campaign a 9/10

Multiplayer:

Call of duty has long featured an expansive and enjoyable multiplayer. This game is no different in the fact that most of the same game modes and the same format has returned. However I feel like this is the best COD multiplayer that I have ever played. For the most part, the guns are balanced and the game has gone away from the heavy reliance on air support. For MW2 and Black Ops, the games were full of people who were constantly earning helicopters and other large kill streaks, which took away from the fun. In this game, the explosive damage has been reduced and all perks that gave their users a unfair advantage have been removed. While the COD series has yet to introduce vehicles, it attracts people from all types of strategies. I give the multiplayer an 8.5/10

Survival Mode/Spec Ops:

Survival mode was a new addition to the COD franchise and was meant to be an Infinity Ward version of Treyarchs massive hit Zombies. The survival mode was not as good as Zombies for several reasons: the first being that there is only 2 player multiplayer and there are certain points to where it is impossible. In zombies, if you were a good enough player, you could go for extremely long periods of time. However on Survival, the max I have seen someone achieve is level 40. Along with the difficulty, it is also very boring because you can continually purchase ammo and there is no luck involved in getting farther. Special ops missions are overall just continuations of the single player, just as they were in MW2. Overall I give the Survival/Spec Ops a 6/10
