Probably not the best choice try to vector hands for you first time using illustrator since hands are one of the most difficult things to draw, but still, you did a decent enough job.

Only thing you should watch out with right now is the stroke you have. For whatever reason it's wobbly and uneven around the shape of the hands.

Besides that there isn't much to improve, of course you'd need allot more detail to really create a good looking hand, but that'll come with time and practice.

I used an illustrator effect that I thought made it look "sketchy" or more like a cartoon and this was the effect I was going for. Vector's are hard to get looking realistic but I've done enough experimentation with that. I really wanted to get better at this particular style. I should try with different hand positions and keep trying til I get used to the anatomy of the hand.
