I'd save some money and get the Meelectronics M6. They're still on sale for REALLY cheap, as far as I know! Other good options would be the Brainwavz M1 or Proalpha. Also, check out the link I posted in the entry above yours. Take a look around, there are a ton of options.
Thanks!!
I think I'm gonna go with the Meelectronics M6
Also, don't think I didn't read the other posts before posting. I wanted to know if it was worth it to spend more than $20 for some other earphones.
Good choice! I was just saying the thread I linked on Head-Fi is a good resource and might be useful for you, not accusing you of not reading the thread.

No. I'm not saying this out of jealousy or even opinion. This is all fact.
-Build quality is garbage. The Solos snap, the Studios lose screws and fall apart, the Pros get too stiff and are far too heavy, and the IEMs are so bad that they're not even worth considering.
-Sound quality sucks. My $100 Audio Technica ATH-M50 sounds as good as, if not better than, the Beats Pros. I have used both, and the audio community agrees with me. As do frequency response graphs. The Studios are $50 headphones and the noise canceling is useless. The Solos are easily the worst headphones over $10 I have ever listened to. I couldn't listen for longer than a minute. Again, technical data supports this.
-They're overpriced. Solos are $30 headphones, Studios are $60 headphones, and Pros are $100 headphones. Not $180, $300, and $400 respectively. It's amazing how much you pay for the gaudy red "b". It's really a matter of who you want to benefit from your purchase. The audio engineers, or the marketing team? With Beats, you're paying the latter. This makes no sense.

Hey man, so i understand you don't like the "beats" headphones, as they are crappy and what not. I could get a pair of pros for $250 and i know that's like $200 off. I was seriously looking into getting them until i read your forum. So even if they are that cheap i still shouldn't get them? I went to best buy and listened to them and thought that they sounded amazing, but they're also the best pair of headphones i've listened to. I'm looking into getting a pair in the $250 range, and i've also been looking at the m50s. Here..
Budget: $250
Music preference: Rap
Type / form factor and portability: Desktop, and iPod Touch
Open/Closed (Not for in-ear): Probably closed
So I noticed that the m50s are around $120-$150, but I'm still looking at going up to around $250. What do you prefer for that price?

This may be surprising, but you CAN get better than the Beats Pros even when they're available for so much less under retail.
You have a couple options here. You're definitely going to want some bass-oriented cans, and at this budget, amplifications is a possibility.
One of your best options is the Sony MDR XB1000. They're available for just under 200 bucks, and will blow the Pros out of the water.

The price for the XB1000 fluctuates a lot, and some places have it for over 300 bucks. This has to do with availability and importing. I'd buy them from the place I linked.
Since there is over $50 left in your budget with the XB1000s, I would look at a portable amplifier to make them sound even better. Some good options would be the Fiio E11 (if you can stretch the budget a bit) or the Fiio E6. You'll also want a line-out connector, so you can use the nicer external amplifier instead of the junk internal one of the iPod. I suggest a Fiio L3 or L9, depending on your preference. If you don't want to deal with an amp, that's fine. It will give you some serious improvements, though!
Another headphone option would be the Ultrasone Pro 750. These are more portable, are bassy, and go for about $250. You might like them more. They fold up, have a removable cable, and are much more portable.

Look at the Sony MDR XB700s. They sound like they fit the bill. They're the best full-size bassy headphone for that price.
