Simple algebra 1

Part 1:

2x + ( -x + 5 ) = 11

x + 5 = 11

x=6

Part 2 :

y = - (6) + 5

y = -1

CHECK*

2 ( 6 ) + -1 = 11

12 - 1 = 11

11 = 11
