Jog wrote I don't believe in the Death Penalty at all. As you said, the judicial system has it's flaws and to take a life on a potential flaw is ridiculous.

Until the judicial system is perfect (Which will never happen), the Death Penalty shouldn't be used.

Thank you. You are the only sane man on this topic.

Seriously kid, you need to open your eyes!
The world isn't some idealistic dream. If somebody murdered another human being, 9 times out of 10 it's because their crazy, meaning they are likely to kill again. The death penalty has been around for many years now and yes, although a few innocent people have been killed, many guilty men have also been killed.

Tell me this, if a man made you watch him kill your family one-by-one, you wouldn't want him punished with death. Personally, I'd like to do it myself if it was me.

Just open your eyes...

i assure you that my eyes are wide open.
i would not want to kill him, i may say so in rage..
but i would never want another man dead.
you are one of the many savages of this earth that cause war.
I believe it's YOU that needs to open their eyes.

TTG_Ravens wrote I do not agree at all. I just wanted to say that Casey Anthony was found innocent, so there is no way she would get any punishment, especially not life in prison or death, if she was not found guilty of any crime (before I get called out, I too believe she was guilty).

If you want to stop the death penalty, many murders will be out walking the streets in a few years because of appeals, parole, and good behavior. Even now with the death penalty, people get released because of overcrowding. The jails would be even more packed without it. I also believe the statistic about 65% of people convicted of murder are innocent is completely, and utterly false.

So are we any better for killing a man convicted of murder.
No, we are now just as bad.

Genesis 9:6: "Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man."

if it's good enough for God, it is good enough for me.

Politics and religion should never mix, doing so makes that particular opinion not only incorrect, but incredibly ignorant. In this day and age, it is rare that in any case will the lords word be used as it is no longer feasible or logical to do so. A much more realistic term would be Gandhi's "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind" "An Eye for an Eye" also being stated both in the Old and New Testament. I admit that there is no perfect law system, people are going to be mistakenly convicted quite possibly until humans cease to exist. If you've ever been through any sort of Media Study, it's become increasingly clear that if the community, or the news, or cooperation's want something or someone to be rubbed out, they'll show bias, sometimes entirely incorrect information to rile up the consumer until they demand that "Justice" be dealt.

I belive that a man/woman should be put to death if they kill another person. It would instill in the brains of the killers before the murder that their life will be taken if they take another persons. But, with no death penalty many crimanals know that they can't be killed, just sentenced to prison. Which, to me is better than being put to death. So YES the government SHOULD give the death penanlty to all convicted murderrers. If the person is falsly accused, then our justice system should be able to prove that/she is innocent.

This may sound harsh, but i would rather have people suffer, and live, when they have a crime worthy of a death penalty. People that kill others should feel the pain they made that person and their family go through. Thats my opinion.

Examples:

In game, friend says; "I HATE HACKERS!"
and 20 minutes later he's 10th prestige.

IRL, friend says; "Guns are bad!"
then you hear about him winning a shooting competition.

Either way, real of fake, it's ridiculous, regardless of what you REALLY think, stick to what you think.
