Hi, dont know if this is the right section but yeah..
Got an old used xbox today, 3 RRoD. Took it apart and found out it already had the X- clamp fix, so i decided to put new thermal paste (compound) on it just in case..
Still RRoD..
Anything i can do AT HOME to fix this?
I know reflowing will do the trick, looked at the heat gun tutorial but dont know if it will work.
Need help.

Do the towel trick! It works for a little bit. Just wrap the xbox in 2 towels turn it on for 10-15 mins then let it cool out of the towels and it should work!

do penny trick then towel torck worked for me had xbox goin for 3 hours fine then turned it offf i turned it off

I actually just fixed mine, Could you hit the Eject and sync button at the same time and PM The lights that come up

EX. 3lights, 4lights, 1light.
