Well in case you missed my last topic, I finally got down texturing grass and such. So today the idea of the western wheat fields. I looked up a few images, made the landscapes, added the hair (the grass), modeled the wind turbines, and sky and rendered. Again, I touched it up a bit in PS as my lighting left he render a bit dark so I had to brighten it up. Anyway, as always, rate, CnC, give me something to work with!
wheat fields
V2, moved around turbines, added a rough road, and made some (hopefully) better touchups in PS
V3, moved the camera, added more grass/wheat, tried to fix problem with farthest right turbine (couldn't do much :/ ) and moved the turbines around a little bit more.

It looks very real, except the wind turbines look a little to white if you know what i mean, like they look 2d when everything else looks 3d. Work on that a bit

I'll see if I can get aim to work for me, if not I'll pm you in a few. Thanks, and I would have though that a state like Texas or something would have the most wind energy since it's so much bigger lol

Thanks man, yeah. the turbines probably look 2D cause they are REALLY far back in the scene, I'll try moving them closer a bit so you can see a more 3D feel. And I really thought they wern't white enough lol, so I changed almost every setting I could to make them whiter XD, I'll make them a little darker, thanks for the feedback.
Will hopefully have V2 done soon enough, should hopefully have a road running through the field, wind turbines fixed, and some other minor touchups. Keep the feedback comin!

You and Concept are the best 3d designers here. I really like this one, except on v2 the turbines have too long of wings. Also, the turbines base cuts off the wheat and shows the sky.

thanks, but I think me and Concept are the only 3D designers on the site lol. And yeah the "wings" of the turbine are long cause they were far back in the scene and now I brought them forward and I forgot to re-size them :/ And can you explain what you mean by :

I don't quite understand what you mean.

Look down the right side here. It has a miscolored blue line theat cuts off the wheat and looks out of the ordinary.

@Four, I was unable to get rid of the blue line as it's part of the reflection of the sky off of the pole, so I moved the turbine back, lowered the reflection and it made it a little smaller at least :/
also, could use more CnC everyone!
