JTAGs are useless? No sir, you just can't host "online hackz0r inv 202020" lobbies on them anymore.
Which was NEVER, intended to be a use of JTAGs.
JTAGs can do solely one thing, run unsigned code, which lets you run emulators, run linux, run xell, play games without disks, run homebrew and more.
My JTAG has N64, PS1, Linux, many Xbox 360 and Xbox Original Games, and a lot of XBLA games. I use it far more than I use my retail. I wouldn't call them anywhere near "worthless", if they were, TTG wouldn't have such a large, profitable and competitive marketplace.
Which was NEVER, intended to be a use of JTAGs.

Exactly Everyone Buys Them To Host Lobbies -_-

There are hundreds of games that I'd like to play for the single player. I'd rather spend $150 on a JTAG, testing out games, completing their single player, or just for games that I think are good, but aren't worth a plummeting 49.99. I mean, I'd rather get Skyrim free than pay 45.99 for it
