Do NOT use a heat gun or dryer.

Those do nothing for the xbox.

They make it unrepairable thats it.

Do NOT follow this tutorial.

well tell me, how do you reflow an xbox without heat?
I have never had an xbox brought back to me with RROD
If you watch all videos including the one that is currently sticky they are heating the chips.
Its all down to how long you heat it for. FACT

I repair xboxs for a LIVING.

You repair xboxs with a specialized hot air wand not a craft store heat gun or a hair dryer emphasis on HAIR.

You also need a preheater. Did you read the sticky?

Mate I understand that this is not the best way to fix an xbox. This is for people who do not have the money to spend on all the propper equipment that people such as yourself may have. And sending consoles away to be fixed can cost alot too.

This is an easy at home fix that anyone can do to get ther console back up and running.

This is not a flame in anyway shape or form.

Happy Hollidays

The only problem is see with this tut is when your heating the board what is going to protect the components around the chips. With the heat your using it will easily blow one or more of the components around the chips. So i think you should add something in you tut like to protect the components so people are not blowing those up and need to fix those also. But other then that great tut.

There is protection mate, if you can see in the pictures I have placed Foil around the chips to act as a heat shield for the other components.

Thanks for the feedback
