what i did was clear system cache then sign out of my profile... then i had signed back in which may take a couple of tries it gave me the test connection error a couple times but i just kept pressing back when i got the message and would try to connect again.
once connected i loaded mw3 it then gave me the mw3 update since i cleared the cache and from there on i was able to get on...
