I own one of those, but they don't get the reball job done properly. They work excellent for reflows

i personally use a t8280 cost me about 230-240$ and I have had a 99% success rate with it... highly recommended and a few of my buddys own them aswell they have no complaints

basically it gets the job done just as good as those overpriced machines

they should get it exactly right as long as u do it correctly, u must be doing something wrong, and what mafia is talking about it a preheater not the actualy machine.

i dont know what either of you are talking about.... you cannot reball with just a 968 thats attempted suicide..

i use a t8280 and a hot air similiar to a 968 overhead with the square nozzle... works perfectly fine but its hands on,but you gotta know your machine too pull it off...

not like a achi where you get a automatic profile... and the perks of a big expensive macnhine...


it doesnt maater if you buy the most expensive SMD Rework machine, you still have to learn and practice regardless.

My main issue has been the lack of a vacuum tip. I'm going to look for one since I have a 968 already. Is there a major difference between the 968 and 968+?

I just went ahead and ordered the 968A+. I'll put my old one on ebay and get some of the money back. Seems the newer version has better stability. now I just need a holder for the air gun
