The very act of boosting is to exploit the system, and to avoid doing hard work. You put in a little effort up front and reap the rewards. If anything, boosting is the act of someone who is inherently lazy and doesn't want to spend time grinding and putting in the effort to do things legitimately.

Why would such an inherently lazy person care about anyone but themselves?

I'm not even saying I look down on boosting (personally I don't care what people do) but to think that someone who is trying to exploit is honest is kind of ironic.

It's like loaning a known thief money and expecting them to pay you back.
