When it's loading try skipping it. I don't really know, does it do that to all your games or just CoD4?

most games boot up and xbox live is disconnected but it ussualy connects back up again try installing the disk to your hard drive and booting from your game libary

Most games show you as 'disconnected' from the guide button until you get to the games main menu.

I have a few suggestions;

Check other games to see if they work.
Try recovering your profile.
Check your connection.
Have you been banned from cod4?
Have you been banned from XBL? [you would have an email]
Installing the game might fix it but it's a long shot.

This happened to me for all my games i couldn't go online however i deleted my account and recorverd it back and it work

Try recovering the profile or you could delete all the cod 4 updates from your HD because maybe you are missing something, maybe by doing that it will force an update and then work.

I'm just guessing here, this problem isn't heard of that much.

but i have forgot my xbl password lol

this happens for old games as they have shut down the servers or its along thoese lines

i get this when playing old need for speeds its annoying but theres nothing u can do

Well it'll be the one you used with the email on that account, you might have to start a password reset on the email if you have forgotten it.

Can't recover your account without it.
