How do you create and import your own avatar. Help will be appreciated

Go to the GFX Services section and ask for an avatar in one of the threads. Then go to Account > Update Profile > Avatar... Then go to copy the URL of your new avatar into the box and hit Save Changes. Hope that helped.

Make or find a square image, upload it to somewhere like "Imgur".
and copy the Direct URL and paste into your TTG Account settings.

upload it to a img site, like imageshack,
then copy the URL and paste it into where it says "avatar url"
