So i get to the part of the quest where i am supposed to align the crystal by heating and cooling it. But no matter how long i hold my fire or frosbite on it it doesnt move. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it? Oh and also if you could tell me the best Mage armor/robes that would be awesome.

the spell tomb books up top are the spells you need too use or else it wont work

I had trouble with this one too, I didn't know i had to keep a constant stream of cold on it for it to change, Just keep frost or whatever the spell is called and keep it on it for a while, if that doesn't work then your save is glitched and it happens to alot of people. Its one of the biggest glitches in the game =/ sorry hopefully u have a save from before you entered the room
