First off. Here is how to do the glitch (All credit and info by UnfoundLegend's Sticky)
So I basically made up a lie to a IW live chat assistant saying how I accidentally did the prestige token glitch and I found out a lot of good information.
1. There is no possible way to prevent yourself from getting banned besides not doing the glitch. You cannot get your self on a ban-proof list. All people saying you can get on a ban-proof list are liars. Here is proof.

2. They only way to get banned is if you are exploiting this glitch like crazy. This basically means that as long as you're not doing this a lot and you're not telling other people about this, you will not get banned. All people who did it on accident or did this glitch a few times have a small chance of getting banned.

3. If IW is unable to determine whether you did this on accident or on purpose, they will do a MW3 background check on you. If you have boosted, modded, and glitched in the past with thus game, that will give IW even more proof that you purposely did this.

4. All of the talk going around saying that IW can't see your prestige tokens is not true. Here is more proof that they can see your prestige token history.

5. It has been confirmed by Robert Bowling that people will be getting banned and reset tokens and stats for doing the prestige token glitch.

1.) Make sure you have 1 prestige token available (ONLY 1)
2.) Have a friend invite you in the Xbox Live Lobby
3.) Go to Barracks > Prestige Shop > Unlock Gear > Perk 1 > Blind Eye and click it ONCE
4.) You should be over the "No"
5.) Have your friend search for any match and then back out as soon as you are both searching
6.) Now you should still have that pop-up but not be able to navigate UP and DOWN
7.) Go to Barracks > Prestige Shop > Double XP and click Yes
8.) Now you should have another pop-up, make sure you click YES to that too
9.) Look at your prestige tokens - it should now be at - 1
10.) Now you may buy everything from the prestige shop that's available to you
NOTE: You do not have to keep doing the glitch. You may just keep buying anything/everything over and over and you'll notice your prestige tokens going down.
