Where should I get my modding kit from? Transfer cable, Xsata, MU transfer cord, etc. NOT eBay because I don't trust that site.

Buy a transfer cable from ebay, they have to give you your merchandise, and it's only $10.

well you have several options,
1.craigslist
2.call microsoft and most likely they wont give you a free one but they will charge you 12 bucks
3. if you were planning on buying a larger hard drive, the 120gb hard drive comes with a transfer cable.
