Hey I was talking with activision live support a few minutes ago and they said this, it isn't conclusive that we who did the glitch won't be banned but here is the conversation.

Callum I was playing MW3 and I prestiged, I went to spend my prestige token and my friend backed out of the lobby we were in and now I have negative prestige tokens and I'm really afraid that I'm going to get banned for something I didn't mean to do

Christopher Kenny This is an issue we are aware of, and we are looking into it. No one here at Activision Customer Support can do anything to prevent a ban, nor do we enact or enforce bans. All I can tell you is that any violation of the terms of service, which includes knowingly taking advantage of an exploit, bug, or glitch, can result in a ban. So, to keep yourself safe, from this point forward, do not try to cash in any prestige tokens.

Callum This isn't fair, you don't look a gift horse in the mouth I was given this and now I'm going to be banned for it! you guys should really be more careful when making games if you want people to actually have a chance to play them
