You can now change your username if you wish. The option is located in your edit profile page under the "Gold Membership Extras".

Rules:

1.) You can only change your username one time per subscription period.

2.) Your username must adhere to the community rules and registration restrictions.


Things to consider:

1.) Once you change your name your old name becomes available to whomever wants it.

2.) Changing your name is irreversible. However if it's available your next subscription period you can choose it again.

3.) Your new username will also be your new login name.

Now don't go running to change your username and then complain that you picked the wrong one. Take your time and make it is the name that you want. You only get one chance per subscription period so choose wisely.

If your username is well known then you may not want to use this option if that is the case then just leave it blank. That's up to you.



Gold member's can now also give 50 reputation points per post if you have 50 to give. That's twice what the members can give.

You can now create your free email accounts.

For security and performance reasons we will not be using this server (thetechgame.com) for email accounts. We have setup a secondary server just to run the mail system. All of your email accounts will also run on that server. With that being said, your TTG emails will be USERNAME @ ttgemail.com.

If you change your username your email account will be deleted and you will have to repeat the steps to get another one for your new username.

Give the Gift of Gold...

Gold members now have the ability to purchase a Gold membership ($5.97) for a NON Gold member. It is not a subscription so there are no recurring payments. They get everything a Gold member gets for 1 month. You are allowed to give out 10 per subscription period.

To give the Gift of Gold simply go the members profile page and you will see the option under their profile information.



Anonymously, if you select Yes means they will not know who bought them the gift.

You now have the option of choosing a 3 letter username. Same rules apply as above.
