I just got a hauppauge hdpvr a few days ago and the software that came with isn't very good to record with. Anyone got any better programs just to record with?

You can try Vegas, or pinnacle studio. May help with the quality.

I tried pinnacle studio, ut it doesn't pick up my hdpvr...

It comes with total media extreme.
Use it and render in vegas.
