i just got an happauge hd pvr and i set it up and it works but when a capture it seems to be a little bit slower than my actual gameplay is this usual?

Are you talking about its slower on the computer screen than it is on the TV?
Its suppost to do that.
Watch the TV screen as you play, record, and the video should come out perfect.
Are you using the software it came with? If you happen to be on XBOX, set it to Playstation 3, because the PVR puts PS3 quality higher.

yeah that is usually normal, it happens with all the other capture cards.
