First of sir i will not be doing this task you have asked the community to do. Not because i dont want to,because its christmas and i like to spend time with the family.
Next you can actually get a very good computer with 650 pounds so the guy above is wrong you will not get a home computer for this. The words 'Home Computer' Defines that it will only run applications like Microsft office applications not what people describe as a home computer these days. People say this because they are spoilt by their parents and are bought computers worth 1000's which they then show off to a community online for example TTG or sevensins.
To finish this off i would gladly send you a list of good components and prices with links if you PM me.
And my last point to the person above please dont postthat it would be a crap computer or troll it because im sure the components i find would be perfect to run battlefield 3 on atleast medium settings.
Thanks DR0PSH0TZz

Brooo
That amount of money wouldn't get you a very good PC at all, especially a gaming one. Can I suggest you UP your budget?

Wait till you have about 1200 bucks.
Thats a good comfortable place to start.
Also remember that its a lot of money but its a long time investment, eventually if it gets slow or outdated you can just buy new parts.
Slow - more ram
Outdated = new processor
Just consider everything when you are buying a pc.

Your wrong
Fast Rounding of Prices quick search equals these prices for good equipment -
40 - 8GB Ram (never need more than 4GB)
90 - P68 Motherboard LGA155
150 - i5 SandyBridge CPU (overclockable)
50 - Case & PSU
90 - Graphics Nvidia 550Ti
70 - 500GB Hard Drive
Total - 490 (Maybe more for shipping or postage costs)
With these components i garuntee you can play battlefield 3 on atleast low and have nearly 100 left over for maybe the i7 processor or a Nvidia 560Ti Graphics card.
Extra points to add -
The PSU may be cheap but with the left over money you can buy water cooling or extra fans or even a better PSU.
all them prices were from ebuyer UK
Hope i helped
