In this little guide i will show what scams to look out for whilst your playing fifa and looking through the TTG fifa series modding forums.

1. Methods of scamming that you should look out for

3. Screenshots of those trying to scam

1a. The most popular method of scamming on fifa 12 is when you go into a ranked pro match and you always get the messages saying -
[M2ARP] I have just borght a new Falcon JTAG and i am doing the duplication glitch for free, message me for invite...
[Catch] = they will invite you to a private chat/party chat, [Party Chat] will include his/her freinds that may not be on his/her freindlist, but they will be vouching for him saying he is legit, this is trying to make you go ahead with it...
DONT FALL FOR IT!, and they will ask you that they will prove it by asking you to send any player bronze, silver or gold player and what they will do is simply by one and give you two of your player back.. "anyone can do that" if they ask you for a large sum of coins then you know that they are trying to get the most out of you before blocking you and kicking you from the party/chat. DONT FALL FOR IT!

1b. A person that you have recently played could send you a message saying this -
[M2ARP] i have just found a website that gives you free gold packs and free coins, go there before it gets patched... the website is
(www).fifa12freepacks.weebly.com
[Catch] = well, if you didnt notice it "weebly" what this is, a website thaat they have quickly created, put a backgroud on it and simple inserted a section where it asks for your email and password, what the website does it that it will give you a fake message for the time being saying that the coins + packs have been issued to your account, but what it really does it that it key-loggs the email and password and sends it to his/her email adress so they can simply log onto the "EA" website and trade all your expensive players over to their team. DONT FALL FOR IT!

1c. People send a message ask telling you that they will hack you VP to 100% for free for you...
[Catch] = They will sound legit and many people have fell for this what ask you/sweet talk you into giving them your username and password so they can recover your account, but what they really want it for is to log onto your "EA" account and again trade all your expensive players onto their team! + they can even steal your account... DONT FALL FOR IT!

1d. People on the "Fifa series Modding" section are saying "Selling Auto buyer" when you go onto their topic they will have people vouching for them saying that they are legit etc.. they will also be asking for fifa coins or MSP, when handed over to the other person these both are un-refundable as they will scam you, block communications and more. prime example -

1e. The final scam is what i like to call the "TeamVeiwer" scam, what it is, if somone asks to show you somthing on teamviewer and comes up with an excuse that your screen is lagging, try logging on, my screen, when you do this as soon as you log onto their screen they will end session, and they will still be on your "EA" account, still able to access your UT, allowing them to take what players they want and be done with it...

I Hope this little guide help you, dont forget to thank.
and Remember "DONT FALL FOR IT!"

Excellent guide.

Unfortunately there seems to be more scammer's than legitimate gamers out there.

Unfortunately with a game as competitive as FIFA and the amount of money it could potentially cost building a team, you can see why younger lads in particular fall for these scams.

Also, the pages on Facebook are scams as well. Some ask to be paid via paypal for coins to make it seem more legit. It might be worth adding that to the guide.

When it comes to online competition, nothing comes for free from other gamers.

the UT section has this also, and this section also needs it as scammers go from 1 place to another
