Looking to fill the slot where the dvd drive usually sits. No longer have the drive, want to make the case look sleeker. No idea what I should use to do this, any ideas are appreciated.

fiber glass the back of the faceplate where the dvd slot is then use bondo to fill it in
sand it the paint over it
