ehmm all i can think of is keep trying to charge it and DFU mode then it only then you can confirm that it is fully faulty

You must have done the jailbreak wrong or something was faulty because it doesnt need a computer to turn it on unless it was a tethered jailbreak, always use untethered

Step 1: You hold the power button on the Ipod For 5 Seconds

Step 2: You keep holding the Power button and at the same time Hold the Home Button for 7 Seconds

Step 3: Now let go of the Power button but keep holding the home button for 15 Seconds

Mabey you jailbroke it using a tethered jailbreak?? U have to plug it back into redsn0w and do a just boot, then you can jailbreak using the untethered method.
