How Not to Get Scammed
First off, What is scamming?
Scamming is tricking people or lying to someone to their benefit.
Some examples of scamming...
Someone is selling saradomin for, 2m.
You trade them and they put sara in trade and you put 2m.
They Decline and say "my bad, Misclick, Hurry gtg soon"
You trade again and you put 2m up and he puts up rune(t)
You both accept and viola. Youve just beem scammed.
Someone says "Trust Game, Person with highest item wins 1m."
You give them an item thinking this is a good idea.
They log out and their budies laugh at you.
"Doubling Money!", This is just plain out a scam. Trusted or not. DONT DO IT.
Also, Gambling is not a safe way to earn money.
Most "Horse Games" or "Flower Games" are usually scams.
And if its not a scam, There is ALWAYS a chance to lose.
Please dont think this is a good way to make a bit of cash.
"Trimming Armour!"
This is most common to lower levels in desperate need of cash.
This is impossible to do.
Trimming armour is NOT possible.
"Just learned a new trick, Follow to learn"
Hm, This could be good. *Follows*
"Ok, Just learned a new dupe. Drop a valuable item above 500k"
*Ok, Drops Item*
"Now press Alt+F4 and viola"
NEVER DO THIS. IT CLOSES ALL INTERNET TABS.
"Gem Cutting!"
*Hmm, I've had 4 or 5k Saphires ive been needed cut*
*Gives saphires*
"Ok, I'll have them done in an hour or so"
*Logs out with loot*
Never ever take free accounts.
Its probably to good to be true.
They can recover. ALWAYS.
There are no dupes WHAT SO EVER.
Never trust anyone.
Lures are bad.
Team PKing is bad.
If someone asks to lure with you, Theyre probably luring you yourself.
If someone wants to team up in wildy, They probably have a team waiting to kill you.
Jagex does not cross out your password.
If someone goes "Woah, I though he was lying. My Password is *******"
Dont do it. This is NOT true.
Never Ever give out your log-in information. EVER.
What is phishing? Phishing is basically luring people to a site where they login using your Runescape username and password.
After this is done your account information is available for the owner of the links use.
Nver go to any off site login and use your Runescape information.
If you do that your account will never be phished!
This is also illegal.
Key loggers are dangerous.
Never download anything like gold generator, stat editor, runescape 3, etc.
They can retrieve any information you enter on the internet.

Never go into teamviewer with anyone while on Runescape.
While logged on to teamviewer and runescape.
The player watching you can control your tabs...
This is not DragonClaws's scam, Hes the one who made the post and said I can use it.
1. Get A Person To Lend You An Item And Have Them Trade You
2. Put The Same Item That They Are Lending In Your Trade Box
3. Accept The Trade, But On The Second Trade Box, Decline
4. Say To The Person, "Please Give Me My Item Back, I Didn't Mean To Trade It"
5. If The Person Is Nice Enough, They Will Give That Item Back, Which Is Actually There Own Item.
6. Congrats You Have Just Scammed Someone

There is another way that you left out.
Phishing
Phishing is a common way of stealing people's accounts and money.
What is phishing? Phishing is basically luring people to a site where they login using your Runescape username and password. After this is done your account information is available for the owner of the links use. (Just basically there is way more to it)
How do I prevent it? All you need to do is never go to any off site login and use your Runescape information. If you do that your account will never be phished!
Phishing is illegal because most people use it for paypal.
Key logger
What is a key logger? A key logger is when a unknown hacker takes over your computer. They can also detect key presses and much more.
How do I prevent getting a keylogger? Never download anything like gold generator, stat editor, runescape 3, etc.
