hey guys,

i just received my hd tv today used to own a non hd tv) so when i used my component cables (brand new) i get audio but no video. I tried everything, changing screen resolution, 480p 720p, 1080i etc but i cant get anything to work. i got my roxio for christmas and i've been waiting for ages to use it and now i cant. i'll give massive rep to someone who can help.

does the tv have green blue and red plugs?? component
or r u just pluging them into the composites red yellow white

hmmmm edit the setting on xbox to 480 p in settings on console

Switch the component cables around, Usually if this problem occurs, It's because the red and white cables are mixed up.

butt the red and yellow wire in, and also put int he HD cables. Red Green and Blue.

Your Xbox is still set to 1080p and the new TV can't handle it

Use the composite red yellow white cable to change the resolution
