I am just doing quests and sell some valuable stuff and I am doing pretty well.

kill dragons, then sell the dragon bones and dragon scales. Dont worry about dragon armor because your blacksmith will have to be at skill level 100 to make it.

Well first off, when you buy houses and decorate them you should do the trick where you put all of your money into something close by, a chest or drawers.

So once you have said to the NPC that you will buy the house, you quickly stop the convo and run to the storage facility and place all of your money in it. Then talk to the NPC again and take the money out.


As for making money,loot chests, pickpocket NPCs and kill things. You can also get bounty tasks from the NPCs who help the Jarls of each major city. By getting these you will have to go somewhere, kill something and then return to collect your payment. You can also help out the man in the College of Winterhold by finding books for him as he will pay you.

Also, whilst progressing through the quests, various ones will give you a nice ammount of Gold as a reward which is very useful.
