Bose are just as bad as the Beats line. You're paying for the brand name (that people for some reason associate with hi-fi, which has never made sense to me) and getting terrible build quality and awful sound. The only merit they really have is noise cancelling. That's the only reason people should buy Bose headphones. They cancel noise and do a darn good job of it. Never for music or listening. Audiobooks on a plane or train? Maybe.

(To those who have no idea what this is, which is probably most of you, the x axis is the hz level. 10hz is the lowest of the low, the type of bass that liquifies your insides, the next mark is 20hz, which is the lowest we can technically hear, but we can still feel. This is the standard measurement of lowness how low a headphone can reach. They don't reach that low. They go to 30hz, where they start to go down. They literally have no sub bass. It's quite embarrassing for a headphone that touts is bass ability. It just conveys the wubs.

This is what I try to tell people. I've noticed the total lack of sub bass, and I wondered how people call them bassy.

"This is not the bass you're looking for."

Well if you take good care of them, and put them in the case after use, there is atleast a 95% chance this wont happen.
