Hey guys, So today I was going to turn my computer off when I noticed there was only Log Off not Shut Down/Turn Off. I have no idea what I could have done for it to happen. I didn't mess with any options or anything. Any ideas? Feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

Are you an administrator on your computer? If not then whoever is admin probably set it so that you can't shut down the computer.

Hello Rant,

Please try these suggestions.

1). Click Start button , hover your mouse over the arrow next to "Log Off" until a menu pops up containing the Shut Down option.

2). Click the power button once. This will initiate an automatic shut down.

3). Hold the windows key and press "L". This will either lock the computer or log you out. From there, you will be able to see a shut down option on the bottom right.
