iv got a ipod touch 4th gen and on ios 4 4.2.1 i want to update my ipod to ios but it not letting me i tried downloading ios 5 and installling it but wont let me any ideas on how to help me ?

try restoring it to that firmware
and make sure your hosts file doesn't go to cydia
