just wanting to know what is the best motherboard for a gaming computer and im on a $600 budget!

Well if your budget is 600, you most likely are going to use an AMD processor because they are cheaper than Intel. In that case i would recommend an AM3+ socket motherboard because of future upgrades. You can however go with Intel's core i3 processor for 125$ and get a cheap board.

AM3 and AM3+ are compatible with each other, a AM3 cpu can go in AM3+, but an AM3+ cannot go in a AM3.

Definitely grab an AM3+ mobo! I have an AM3 cpu in my AM3+ mobo but i'm thinking about upgrading my cpu
