I have long since retired from the L4D modding community and have just recently returned to this forum.

The way everyone keeps how to mod L4D a secret seems just plain wrong to me.

I have a feeling that the secret to modding this game again is very very simple(ISO) or very very complicated(JTAG/Coding).

Could someone please tell me otherwise or could someone please be loyal enough to a MODDING COMMUNITY to let me in on this secret.

If you fear the mod getting patched, you are being silly. Valve has long since abandoned patches on L4D.

And if you are going to be rude about it or troll me, please just don't talk to me.
I just want to know if there is someone left on this website who understands what this website is for.

Don't even say Valve has abandoned patching a games, they patched TF2 even after they had released two more games and it had been a year since the last patch before that was released.
I don't see how it's wrong, you'd rather have nearly every game you join be modded? That's what it was like after the method got around before the UserSettings patch.
If you just returned to the forum, it doesn't sound like you've even tried that hard to get it to work.

I haven't tried to find the method because I thought TTG and modding websites were like they used to be. TTG used to be welcoming and people helped you mod. But now that they got patched big time, no one shares the method.

The only reason TF2 got patched is because they patched it on the PC because people play that professionally and then brought the source patch to the Xbox.

I don't exactly want to argue with you. If you don't want to tell me how to mod it again, can you at least tell me what it involves(JTAG,ISO,US,etc.)

I know this game can be modded using ISOs and JTAG very easily, I just see it as a waste of a disc and time. But I am really curious to see how you guys found this out, i'm actually a little excited.

Yes on jtag is very easy to put the patch on.But when it comes to iso modding it can be a bit complex.If consider c++ to be a easy way i think not.

What does C++ have anything to do with this?? I don't recall ANY Source game being coded in C++.

You know why since the zip file has custom header on it and once open the file size shrinks.So to keep the custom header in place u need a program to open and close it correctly.To do this u will need to make your own program.

Yes crackbomber i know what u know.I just dont want to start a flam war but this is the hardest game to iso mod in my opinion.
