I'm gonna rent a server with 768MB made for 1-12 people, but I actually think that buying 4gb ram thing (sorry I don't know what it is called) and install it onto my PC. Then I will allocate more RAM into the server.

Which one is better? My choice, buying more RAM.

Don't buy RAM, because if it's home-hosted, you need at least 25 upload for no lag.

Just get the server, it's dedicated and worth it.

Buy a server, if you host it on your own computer you have to leave it on if your friends want to play, and a server would be faster and easier.

server = better

server has 24/7 hosting whilst your pc is only when it is on (will actually break your pc if you leave on for too long)

you need an upload speed of at least 10mbps to not lag for others, you could have 100000gb ram but they will still lag.

I would recommend a 1GB server as a minimum for hosting a server.
