Veran wrote I would consider practical as easily carried around and store at for example school. The possible lack of bass in the KSC75's are kind of putting me off them now. Though at the same time im not on for shoving things in my ears like the XePort 5010's

I might just have to settle for what may be that bit less bass, lol

They don't really "lack" bass, they just lack extension. If you won't listen to anything with sub bass, you'll be fine. Plus they have a lifetime warranty! The Portapros or K518 is a safer choice, but the KSC75's are really too cheap to not get as long as your bus isn't really loud (they don't isolate, so sound is going to leak in).

The main difference between the KSC75 and Portapro is the headband. The KSC75's provide no clamp to speak of other than the little bit of force the clips give, so there isn't much of a seal between the ear and the driver. A seal is what's needed for a lot of bass--it's just how bass works; you need to trap the most air possible between the driver and the ear drum for maximum bass. The Portapros go the extra mile by giving some fort of clamp, thereby allowing less air to disperse.

Budget is anything?

Kay. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] The Sennheiser Orpheus is the headphone for you. It'll only cost you fifteen grand. If you're lucky.

Please put in the effort to make a complete post or else we won't put in the effort to help.

I was listening to the Portapros in my room the other night and it was totally silent. I was listening pretty loud with the Portapros, and decided to take them off. I was pleasantly surprised at how little they "leaked." More than I would expect from that design. They were also able to hit the lowest of the lows courtesy of DJ Magic Mike!

I noticed that leaking isn't really a problem with either the Portapros or the clip-ons. It's mostly the fact that they let sound in that's the problem, and for me, that's a REALLY big problem. Bass is the first of the sound frequencies that get drowned out, so I'm hesitant to recommend an open headphone to someone wanting to use them on a bus.

That's why I usually go straight to IEMs for portability. But I will always mention the Koss offerings, because they're still really good.

I recently bought Bose AE2 headphones i love them they have pretty good quality and i can't hear a thing when my music is playing other than the music itself. They are very comfortable and I love that they are over ear headphones. I would suggest them to anyone!

You have quite a few choices!

Future Sonics Atrios MG7 (~$140), Klipsch Image X10 ($140), Hippo VB ($80 + a free low-end pair), Shure SE215 ($95), Brainwavz M2 (~$60), Xeport 5010 ($15).

If you're really looking for bass, the Hippo VB is an excellent option, probably the bassiest IEM at it's price point. The Xeports perform far better than their low price would imply, and if you want to save your money, they're exactly what you're looking for.

You can get much better sound and build quality for a whole lot less. I also covered this in the OP, but apparently nobody reads it on this site before posting. Cool.

If you can save up $20, you can go for the JVC FTX90. Otherwise, you can go for the DUNU Hephaes or Audio Technica CKS90.
