I live in Toronto Ontario, have for my whole life.
19 Years.

I'm in the downtown area, I live close to school;
UoT (University of Toronto).

The weather can get really chilly here, although I hear London is worse weather.

It's a good area, but it has its flaws, as any place does!

The community gets really involved in events, so if you want a good time, it's the place for you.

I learned Mandarin from china town when I was 15, so I can help out in there festivals. Some of the best events come from their new years celebrations.

I went to Vancouver with a few friends a while ago, right after high-school; and I have to say it's not a very nice place. Depending on where you go of course.

I was in the East, and it was basically a ghetto.

Spray paint, and 'thugs' everywhere.
Generally bad upkeep in the areas, it's considered some of the poorest areas in Canada.

Which ever you choose, let us know.
I'd like to hear!

EDIT: Yes Canada is known for being cold, but that's if you're very up north. Toronto is close to buffalo and New york. It's not THAT bad.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I should've known you'd think London, Ontario.

I was referring to the climate in London, UK

Yes, London Ontario is SW from Toronto, and it's not a bad drive from Toronto.

If you want to visit family, which I'm sure you do as you said; I'd choose Toronto -

It's more friendly to airplane transportation, in cost too.

There's a few Airways to Toronto, so they compete with prices. London to Toronto can be very cheap sometimes!

If you wouldn't mind, could you share with me what you're studying in school now?

Some areas target certain Jobs, since it's a heavy city.

You could end up living close to work!
