Im currently stuck on the imperial legion quest "battle for windhelm" and i cant progress. im at the literlly last part of the quest, where you enter through the doors to the palace of the kings, but the second i enter through the big doors my character sheaths his weapon and just stands there. i cannot move, draw my weapon, even open up my item/magic/map menu. only wait and press start. General Tullius and Legate Rikke do NOT come thro the door with me, like they are supposed to, and im just stuck there. yes, i have reloading many saves. even back to two hours back into the questline. but to no avail it ALWAYS ends up like this. i looked online for this glitch, and i learned that indeed this is a really glitchy quest, but NOONE has said anything about my problem i have. I have played fallout 3, new vegas, oblivion, and i played 100s of hours on all of them. Usually i can fix stupid game breaking bugs that bethesda is so famed for. But this one persists, and i have no clue why. please please dont tell me ro "revert to last save". Ive tried so many times. any help would be greatly appreciated guys, thanks.

Hmm, prehaps use the wait option and wait 24hours or generally wait about 5-10 minutes once you come to that point.

That is why you should have chosen Stormcloaks.

Revert to your last save during the mission, you've done it once, you can do it again, faster. It's a small price to pay, but it could help a lot.

Hope I helped, Flux-

thanks flux, much appreciated, but ive done that so many times. trust me, ive tried possibly everything i could think of without having to restart the questline. **** general and the legate just wont go through the doors. i tried waiting for days, and waiting in real time for at least 10 minutes for them. its aggravating. i believe im just screwed. aha.

Did you try talking to them before you walked through the doors? The system may respond in some way that makes them go through too. Just a suggestion.
