vokal wrote you can use any xbox hdd or usb if you do use a xbox hdd from a retail console be wary if you put in back on the retail and go play online m$ may see some of the jtag content and ban u for it being on the retails hdd.

All the jtag content is on the nand or south bridge. If anything gets on the HDD its games and homebrew. Which to a retail Xbox it would just says it's corrupt.
