For a PSU you just need to make sure it fits your power needs, for example, I have a 1050W PSU because of the parts I am using.
If you know the exact specs of the computer(not sure if upgrade or new build) use this link [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and you can enter specs and figure how many watts you will need. When you see this suggestion, I would go a bit higher just to be safe, but otherwise this should help. Also, I recommend Corsair, mine is from them, and it is great.
Also, the grade(Bronze, Silver, Gold) tells you the efficiency(Bronze the lowest, Gold the Highest).

Most mid range cards are a minimum of a 500 watt or 600 watt power supply so as long as you have that your good.
