I went on top of a mountain then I saw a rock where you learn your shouts. I beat the dragon then go on top to learn the word but it's not letting me learn it? Am I too far in the game for my level or I don't know :s

I have not had this happen to me. But do you have any dragons souls to unlock the shout?
