Well for one I could still travel to the Past it just wouldn't be the Past. Thats the only way to explain it without completely confusing everyone.

their are no past present or future, it depends on your location in the universe, and your perspective.

from where we are , we think we are going forward in time, while for another species in the far off reaches of the universe, the direction and speed through time we are going could be opposite or different.

it's impossible to travel to the past as WE as beings with mass can't go faster than light.
but I think I understand your theory more, and yes if you could time travel that would become the present for you.
